Pratamnak, also written Phra Tamnak, is the hill that separates Pattaya Bay from Jomtien. It is mostly residential, with condos, a few large resorts and small beaches such as Cosy Beach on its western side.
Wat Phra Yai, the Big Buddha temple, sits near the top of the hill with views over the bay. Walking Street is at the foot of the hill on the Pattaya side, so the area suits travellers who want quiet nights with the city close by.
