Central Pattaya hotels

Beach Road, the shopping malls and Walking Street on your doorstep: the busiest and most convenient part of the city.

Central Pattaya is the strip between Pattaya Beach and Second Road, from North Pattaya down to Walking Street. Beach Road runs along the sand past Central Festival Pattaya Beach and Royal Garden Plaza, and baht buses loop along Beach Road and Second Road all day.

It is the easiest base for a first visit: restaurants, nightlife, shopping and the beach are all within walking distance. It is also the busiest and noisiest part of Pattaya, so the choice of hotel, and of room, matters.

Hotels here range from large beachfront resorts to simple rooms on the sois, so there is a wider spread of budgets than anywhere else in the city. The verified hotels below are between 500 m and 3.2 km from Walking Street.

Tips before you choose

Beach Road or Second Road

Beach Road has the sea views and the higher rates. Second Road and the sois between are a few minutes' walk from the sand and often better value.

Choose your end of town

North Pattaya, around Terminal 21, is calmer. South Pattaya, near Walking Street, is the liveliest at night.

Ask for a room away from the road

Beach Road and Second Road are busy day and night. Tell us if you sleep lightly and we ask for a room on the quiet side.

Common questions

What is the difference between North, Central and South Pattaya?

North Pattaya is around Terminal 21 and the quieter north end of Beach Road, Central Pattaya is around Central Festival, and South Pattaya runs down to Walking Street and Bali Hai Pier. Our directory groups all three as Central Pattaya.

Is Central Pattaya good for families?

It can be. Several big hotels here have kids' clubs and family pools, and the North Pattaya end is calmer than the streets near Walking Street. The family guide lists the strongest options.

Can I walk to the beach from Second Road?

Yes. Second Road runs parallel to Beach Road, a few hundred metres inland, and the sois between them lead straight to the sand.
